I’ve been working in the marketing industry for quite some time now and theres a term that has become quite popular – EDM marketing. You might be curious, about what EDM means in the context of marketing so let me explain it to you.

EDM, also known as Electronic Direct Mail is a marketing strategy that allows companies to connect with their potential customers through personalized emails. However it goes beyond emails. EDM marketing encompasses forms of media such as media, printed materials, text messages and even out of home advertising.

The main distinction, between EDM marketing and traditional email marketing lies in the fact that EDM campaigns involve touchpoints and supporting marketing efforts to reinforce the message.
